The record syntax
It breaks up a record with two channels in one file: one that plays for anyone, and one sealed with a key. It has 3 element types and 6 elements, and a record described in it is one choice of elements from each type.
Instances
- Zariia: a record simulator: upload two tracks and download one record, the second track sealed inside it with a key (zariia.org)
Element types and elements
open channel holds one
The track anyone hears. It plays whole in any player, with no key.
sealed channel holds one
A second track carried in the same file and locked with a key. Anyone can see that it is there; with the key it plays in sync with the open channel.
class holds one
What the sealed channel is, beside the open one.
- the counter-voice
- another take of the same moment
- the room
- what else was audible: talk, error, the street
- the refusal
- what was cut, and why
- the reply
- a second musician answering, recorded later
- the score
- the instruction that produced the result
- open throughout
- there is no sealed channel
Described in it
Nothing is described in it yet.
The syntax as data: record.json. It is read from Zariia each time this site is built, so the two never differ.
